Kovalam Beaches

Kovalam in malayalam is the term for a grove of coconut trees. This beach is essentialy true for its name. The village offers an endless view of coconut trees. The place is also known as the paradise of the south.

Out of the other beaches in Kerala, Kovalam beach is the most famous among them for tourists. Kovalam beach was the first one to be titled as a major tourist destination of Kerala. This title has got from the cleanliness and safety of the beach and became popular among the tourists. This beach can be reached by a 13 km drive from Thiruvananathapuram town. The beach with its turquoise coloured waters is also a popular choice for honeymoon seekers. The beaches of Kovalam have been divided into three parts.
